Pastor Les Steubing has a heart for discipleship, a passion for God’s Word, and a deep love for the local church. He began following Jesus as a young boy while visiting family in Kentucky, and over the years, God has shaped his journey through seasons of challenge, growth, and faithful ministry.
Les holds a Master of Theological Studies from Baylor University and is currently pursuing a Doctor of Educational Ministry in Church Revitalization at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. His preaching is rooted in Scripture, centered on the gospel, and aimed at equipping believers to live boldly for Christ in their everyday lives.
Before coming to Dogwood Hills Baptist Church, Les served in both revitalization and pastoral roles, helping churches regain health and mission focus. He’s also a writer with a heart to equip others, having authored multiple books on discipleship, spiritual growth, and Christian living.
Les is married to Michelle, his faithful partner in life and ministry. They have four children and one granddaughter who bring them great joy. Whether he’s preaching a sermon, mentoring a young believer, or writing a new resource, Les’ mission is clear: to make disciples who make disciples for the glory of God.
